Thoughts on ISTE 2010 Denver, Colorado
So for me, and many others, ISTE started off with Edubloggercon on Saturday morning, very early. It was truly a great gathering of Edubloggers from literally around the world. Coming into the Convention Center I met someone who was as lost as I was, Brad Flickinger, once we found the Four Seasons Ballroom and met up with Steve Hargadon, we spent the next hour together at the information booth greeting people as they showed up and letting them know how Edubloggercon was going to proceed for the day.
As I expected, Edubloggercon was full of spirited discussion, well facilitated discussions on a variety of subjects and of course, a 1:00 PM Smackdown which was really a lot of fun.
Saturday was what I had been looking forward to attending ever since we knew we were coming to ISTE 2010. I was not disappointed. Getting to renew friendships made at NECC 2008 in San Antonio, meeting new interesting educators from around the world is for me one of the best aspects of attending a conference such as ISTE 2010.
Sunday, my wife, Cindy, and I had the opportunity to attend Mass at the Denver Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Wow, what an amazing church.
Making our way back to the Colorado Convention Center for the Sunday opening keynote and then volunteering for a few hours and then to the Blogger's Cafe where there are lots of interesting folks to meet.
Monday there were some interesting sessions to attend, a trip to the exhibit floor and then a wonderful dinner at the the folks from Califone, Tim, Roscoe and Erika.
